Scorn is a game I’ve had my eyes on for quite a while, throughout its several years of production. With this years Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, we finally have a confirmed release date!
With Alien being one of my favorite IP’s ever made, any media based around H.R. Giger’s erotic and disgusting bio-mechanical art gets the little chestburster within me a-wrigglin’ and a-writhin’.
Scorn is a first-person horror shooter that drops you into a nightmare-inducing world of surrealism and dystopia. Throughout this beautiful and terrifying experience, you’ll be solving puzzles in a nonlinear dreamlike world while fighting off deformed Lovecraftian bogeymen intent on consuming your fleshy corpse. As you traverse through this dangerous environment and solve these puzzles, you will discover more about the world around you and how things have become so terrifying.
Are you actually in a dream? Are you the sole survivor of a world-changing apocalypse? Maybe you were born into this world, left to explore and learn on your own?
Not much is known about the story of Scorn currently, but my god if it doesn’t look impressive. If you’re as captivated by this as I am, then you’ll be pumped to hear that Scorn will release October 21,2022, for Xbox Series X|S and PC, being free on Xbox Game Pass.
