Song of Iron from solo developer Resting Relic launched in 2020 on Xbox platforms and PC. The game received its fair share of praise for delivering an enjoyable 2.5D adventure set in a Norse-inspired world. It looks like the game is getting a sequel, as Song of Iron 2 was announced during the ID@Xbox Fall Showcase earlier this month.
Set after the events of the original, Song of Iron 2 features Souls-inspired combat against strong enemies including trolls, Vikings, and even large beasts. You’ll also take enemies across realms as you battle hostile space soldiers armed with powerful firearms.
Being resourceful is key in Song of Iron 2. Your weapons will break the more you use them, so you’ll have to seek out new axes and shields in order to stay alive and stand a chance against your daunting foes.
Song of Iron 2 is scheduled to launch in 2023. It’ll be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
