Toward the very beginning of Asterigos: Curse of the Stars, you’ll face off against a purple dude who’s simply referred to as the Strong Man. You’ll learn that his name is Bion a little bit later, but when you first encounter him, he’s just the Strong Man.
Bion will attack you, and the whole point of this fight is that you’ll be defeated so you can be brought to the Shelter. But if you’re anything like me, you probably wondered if this fight is winnable or not. So I started a new save, put the difficulty on Story (the easiest option), and loaded up with healing potions.
As it turns out, the game is ludicrously easy on Story mode, and even though the Strong Man has a ton of health, I was able to get him down to what I’d estimate is below 10%.
At this point, he summoned a pillar of light that killed me in a single hit.
So no, it doesn’t appear that this fight is winnable.
I was definitely hoping for some super cool secret reward for surviving this fight, but I guess the super cool secret reward is just a magic sunbeam to the face. Oh well…
I’m playing the game for the first time. Only a few hours in the game. I took all of his blood the first time I met him, I have to say the story mode was quite easy, but I was suddenly defeated by sun strike :))
Yeah, he’ll mess you up with that flare blast.
