Biomutant - PS5 and Xbox Series

While Biomutant launched to mixed reviews (and I’m being generous with the word “mixed”), we here at Half-Glass Gaming fell in love with it. My colleague Julian said it was one of his favorite games of 2021, and I went on a pretty long rant about how it’s a lot better than people were giving it credit for being.

Personally, I felt the “fuzzy apocalypse” was an interesting twist on a well-established genre, and I found a lot of charm in the game’s open world. I admit that the game wasn’t perfect, but I did have a lot of fun with it. Ultimately, I’m glad to have experienced it.

If you still haven’t tried Biomutant, it sounds like you’re about to get another chance… If you own a current-gen console, that is. An upgraded version of Biomutant is coming out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This upgraded version will feature support for 4k resolution, up to 60fps (depending on your graphical mode), HDR support, and faster loading times. If you opt for the PS5 version, you’ll be able to enjoy the game with the DualSense’s tactile features.

The upgraded version of Biomutant is set to launch on September 6, 2022, and it will retail for $39.99. However, if you already own it on PS4 or Xbox One, you can upgrade it for free (PS4 to PS5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S). For those who take the upgrade path, your saves should carry over too.
