Vigor Game

Vigor, from developer Bohemia Interactive, has been described as a “shoot & loot.” It’s actually a weird take on the ever-popular battle royale, which has you collecting upgrade materials and supplies with the option of leaving so you can keep your stuff and bring it back to your outpost. It’s a progression system that exists outside of the classic “play ’til you die but earn XP for your efforts” gameplay loop of the standard battle royale game.

Vigor isn’t a new game. It released in early access back in 2018 on Xbox One, with a free-to-play version dropping in 2019. But now it’s making its way to other consoles.

The game was made available on Nintendo Switch this summer via the $20 Founder’s Pass, but now you can explore it’s digital version of “post-war Norway” without dropping a dime. Or a penny. Or a Bitcoin. Vigor is now a free-to-play title on Nintendo Switch.

Vigor is also slated for release on PS4 and PS5 later this year.

The game is currently celebrating its fifth season of content, complete with a Battle Pass. This is just one game on an overwhelming list of games to do seasonal content updates. It does look like good fun though.

You can watch the free-to-play Switch trailer for Vigor below.
