The resource-management-slash-space-colonization game Derelict Void is due out March 18, when an Early Access version lands on Steam. We’ve been eyeballing this title for a while now, so this is an exciting time to be a Half-Glass Gamer.
The general premise is that you start out gathering resources in space, with which you’ll upgrade your ship and eventually put together and manage a space colony. It combines several different sim genres into one neat little package.
Here’s a list of features via today’s press release:
- Explore and navigate through stranded ships and treacherous debris to discover the secrets of the void.
- Take Risks and make the right choices to survive.
- Manage resources to your ship’s survival and balance it all to keep the ship going for another day.
- Create your own stories in the world of Derelict Void, and share your mods with friends through our content delivery servers.
- Open content creation tool where everyone can contribute to the story and world of the game.
The game was funded via Kickstarter at the end of 2020, and the team is already delivering on their promise of releasing an Early Access version of the game in March of 2021.
