In Asterigos: Curse of the Stars, there is a secret boss called Hiems, Pride King of the Archon. Hiems is a beefy lion, and defeating him will earn you the Lunacat Trophy/Achievement. So where do you find this kitty cat?
Well, before you can go hunting for this hidden boss, you must get to the Event of Trinity story event, which engulfs the entire world in darkness. This is a major story event that happens close to the end of the game, and I promise that you won’t be able to miss it.
Once you’ve done that, you should head over to the Archon’s Reach Conduit in the Phalan Academy area and follow the path shown in this video:
Hiem’s attacks really aren’t all that different from the armored lions that you fight throughout the game. So if you’ve figured out a good strategy for those lions, then Hiem shouldn’t be too hard. I try to stay behind Hiem as much as possible, and dodge whenever he does any of his most powerful attacks.
Like Miltos the Matriarch, he does have an attack that releases an elemental burst (his is ice as opposed to Miltos’ fire burst), but he does signal this attack with some shockwaves before it happens, so you shouldn’t have any trouble dodging it (even though I admittedly had trouble dodging it in the video).
One thing Hiem has over those other lions is that he can drop areas of ice on the ground. Standing in those will cause you damage, so make sure you stay out of them.
Also, getting a little bit of ice defense isn’t a bad idea. The Aphes Legion Ring and Aphes Legion Brooch will help you out here. Also, make sure you switch to the Fire Enchantite so you’re dealing fire damage with your attacks. Fire melts ice, folks; it’s science.
And that’s how you defeat Hiems, Pride King of the Archon to earn the Lunacat Trophy/Achievement in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars.
