Asterigos - Anagnos the Reader

In Asterigos: Curse of the Stars, there’s an optional boss called Anagnos the Reader. Beating him will earn you the Never Play with a Body Trophy/Achievement. So where do you find this creepy creature?

Well, before you embark on this journey, you must reach the Event of Trinity in the main story. This event happens close to the end of the game, causing the sky to go dark. The entire world will be nighttime for the rest of the game now.

Once you’ve gotten that far, you can start hunting down the Trinity Challenge bosses, including Anagnos the Reader. Now, you’ll want to travel to the Pass of Stars Conduit, then follow the route shown in this video:

Now, I’m not going to lie; I really struggled with this fight. Mostly, that’s because Anagnos has an add that can cause a lot of trouble. Not only does this bandit dance around with blades, but it also chucks daggers from afar. And if you take down the add, Anagnos will resurrect it.

The strategy that I found best is to be extremely aggressive. If you deal enough damage, you’ll interrupt Anagnos’ casting, so if you can really wail on him quickly, you can prevent him from casting his most devastating attacks. This can be problematic, though, if the add keeps getting in your way.

Asterigos - Ritual Ring

Also, I found it helpful to equip some Astral protection. I used the Ritual Ring (+17 Astral Defense) and Ritual Brooch (+10 Astral Defense).

And that’s how you defeat Anagnos the Reader to earn the Never Play with a Body Trophy/Achievement in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars.

If you want to see guides for all ten of the Trinity Challenge fights, I’ve got an index here.
