The first several times I encountered Fall Mountain in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, I thought this was one mode I would never win. It just seemed like too much was stacked against me. But then I did win, and it felt glorious. I’ve now won on Fall Mountain four times (and three of those wins are on YouTube, if you don’t believe me).
There was a lot of failure in the beginning. But then I learned a simple trick that made the first section much easier. Then I learned a second trick, and eventually a third trick. I now have three tricks for winning Fall Mountain in Fall Guys. As long as you know these three tricks, you should win fairly consistently.
I recorded two wins while streaming in a single night, and in both cases, I explained the three tips. You can skip to the video (which contains both wins and repeats all three tips) at the very bottom of this article if you’re more of a video person.

Here are my three tips for winning Fall Mountain in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
- Tilt the camera upward – As soon as the round starts, tilt the camera upward as far as it will go. This will allow you to see the full trajectory of every boulder, giving you more time to plan your dodges.
- Run with the spinning hammers, not against them – The smartest way to get through this is to hug the right-hand side of the map. This will automatically line you up with the hammers, so even if one hits you, it will push you toward the goal and not away from it.
- Press the grab button to grab the crown – This is a thing I regularly see people forget to do. On PS4, you’ll want to press the R2 button to grab the crown once you reach it. If you fail to grab it, you won’t get credit for winning, even if you touch the crown first.
I can’t guarantee that you’ll win every match of Fall Mountain, especially as more and more people figure out these three tips. But these three tips will allow you to win more consistently, and implementing them will give you an advantage over anyone who hasn’t figured them out yet.
