The second No Man’s Sky expedition, called Beachhead, is in full gear at this point. Up until now, however, we weren’t really sure what the end goal was. For the first expedition, we got the amazing Golden Vector starship. So what’s the final reward for Beachhead?

The reward for completing the Beachhead expedition is the SSV Normandy SR1 from the Mass Effect series. Yes, this is a cross-galaxy mashup that we never saw coming. Mass Effect in No Man’s Sky?
The Normandy SR1 isn’t a starship but a frigate, which is a support ship for your freighter. While it would have been awesome as a full-on freighter, it’s still an incredible addition to this universe-spanning game.
So if you haven’t started the Beachhead expedition yet, you really need to get grinding. It’s not a huge investment (I meandered through it lazily in about 8 hours), but the clock is ticking. This offer is only good until the expedition ends on May 31, 2021. Get grinding, folks!
