In Demon Throttle, there is a bonus objective in each stage to recover a stolen chalice. With four main stages, there are four chalices to recover.
To claim a chalice, you’ll need to find a secret stairway, which leads you to a bonus dungeon section of the stage.
At the end of that dungeon section will be a miniboss, and if you beat the miniboss, you’ll claim the chalice and be returned to the main stage. If you die in the chalice dungeon, however, your run will be over.
The thing about this stairway is that the location is somewhat randomized. So if you’re trying to get the chalices, you’ll want to know where all the possible stairway locations are.
So far, I’ve discovered two stairway locations in Act 1: Hillside.
Here’s the first location. This one is on the right-hand side of the screen, inside a sort of hallway-like area.
Here’s the second location. This one is all the way on the left-hand side of the screen, right before you encounter a brick wall that stretches all the way across the level from left to right.
I’ve been through this stage more times than I can count at this point, and I’m pretty sure these are the only two locations in this level. However, if I do end up finding more, I will post their location here as well. Until then, good luck, demon throttlers!
